North Central University is a NCAA Division III school in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference located in downtown Minneapolis. Clark-Danielson Gymnasium is home to the Rams basketball and volleyball programs, and it was due for a refreshed floor design and finish, so exploration began for opportunities to make a compact gym feel like the urban arena the athletes deserved.
North Central's institutional logo contains a rendering of the city skyline, so with inspiration from professional courts like that of the Cavaliers' Quicken Loans Arena, we sought to apply a tasteful but brand-specific treatment to the floor design, making NCU a standout in the conference.
