The Emmaus Eagles compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) in six varsity sports. In the course of their more than 70 years of intercollegiate play, the Eagles have used a number of logos to represent their school. For the 2021-22 season, we partnered with EBC to develop a new Eagle that was truly their own. A committee of staff, faculty, student-athletes, and alumni came together to cast a vision for the future identity of the Eagles and several themes emerged. Humble. Noble. Regal. Intelligent. Brave. High-quality. Servant leaders.
The new logo captures these values, with a strong, dignified bird gazing forward with optimism and boldness. The shape of the neckline is built in a way to perfectly interlock with the institutional shield.
The Eagle is far and away the most popular mascot in collegiate athletics, which is unsurprising given the majestic nature of the bird and its place in American iconography. All the more reason why it was so important that the symbol of Emmaus’ athletics be created uniquely for them and representative of their values.
This new Eagle logo takes flight this fall, as the men’s and women’s cross country teams debut the new marks, followed by other programs and campus updates. Go Eagles!
